Lynnsport Miniature Railway

Our Railway is currently closed and is in the process of being rebuilt in a new location on the Lynnsport site, keep an eye on this website and the Facebook page for more information as the job progresses.

We can be found at the Cabin, Lynnsport Railway each Wednesday from 10am to 5pm, and Sundays as and when work requires from 10am till 5pm outside the Public Running season.

If you are a first time visitor, it is worth checking with the Committee members that we will definitely be there, as sometimes we change days at short notice for various reasons.

At the time of writing we are in the process of rebuilding our Railway and facilities at a new site, so there is plenty to be doing! Track building and laying, painting, building, fitting out the workshop and members rest room.

Monthly Meetings
Our meetings take place at Lynnsport, upstairs in The Wembley Room - please tell the reception staff you are coming to see us and they will let you through the turnstiles, and give you directions through the building. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7.30pm and usually close down around 9.30pm. Members tend to congregate in the bar area prior to the meetings so we're easy to find!

The exceptions to the above are the barbeque nights and Fun Runs, which are held down at the track, these start at an earlier time in order to make the most of the daylight. See the listings below for more details.

We run a raffle at most meetings, a variety of goodies are on offer and if you have anything for the table then you're more than welcome to bring it along. £1 a ticket and the proceeds goes towards Club funds, and at meetings with a speaker then a donation from the proceeds will go to either the East Anglian Air Ambulance or the speaker's nominated charity.

When talks are given they will last a duration of 1 – 1 ½ hr and members of the public are welcome to attend. We hold a small raffle during each meeting to assist with club funds and at meetings with a speaker a donation from the proceeds will be made to East Anglian Air Ambulance or a charity nominated by the speaker.

Our events listings is reproduced below, this includes running dates, meetings and other events, for details of the locations see the 'Where to Find Us' page
